Crane Field Multi Skilled
Service Engineer

We are looking for a Crane Electrical / Mechanical Engineer to join one of the regions leading maintainers of overhead cranes and hoists.

The successful candidate will join an existing field service team, who are involved in the repair and maintenance of lifting equipment, LOLER service inspection on electronic handheld devices, refurbishment and modernisation projects, installation, testing and certification of overhead cranes and hoists.

ACDC Cranes will be looking for an apprentice-trained or equivalent and fully conversant with mechanical / electrical engineering disciplines to City and Guilds or equivalent. The candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, as there is extensive customer contact and will be safety conscious as well as physically fit and able to work at heights.

There will be times where the candidate will need to be willing to work extra hours and will hold a current driving licence.

Experience with overhead cranes and hoists are distinct advantages in this role but not essential, as training will be provided.

A competitive basic salary, plus overtime after the basic 40 hours. A company vehicle and mobile phone will be provided.

Crane Field
Electrical Apprentice

We are looking for a Crane Electrical Apprentice to join one of the regions leading maintainers of overhead cranes and hoists. This role will also involve learning the mechanical aspects to become a multi skilled Field service engineer at the end of the apprenticeship.

The successful candidate will join an existing field service team, who are involved in the repair and maintenance of lifting equipment, LOLER service inspection on electronic handheld devices, refurbishment and modernisation projects, installation, testing and certification of overhead cranes and hoists.

The candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, as there is extensive customer contact and will be safety conscious as well as physically fit and able to work at heights.

There will be times where the candidate will need to be willing to work extra hours and will hold a current driving licence would be a advantage but not essential as they will be collected from the workshop.

Experience with overhead cranes and hoists are distinct advantages in this role but not essential, as training will be provided where completing extra Diploma courses through LEEA association.

A competitive basic salary, plus overtime after the basic 40 hours.
